Our Story

We're Lora and Ken — makers, workers, and proud North Carolinians working out of Belhaven on the Pungo River. We believe in earning everything through sweat and skill. Our studio runs from dawn to dusk, and you'll find us here six days a week, sleeves rolled up and hands dirty, because that's how real things get made.

We don't take shortcuts because we know what happens when you do. Every joint gets proper glue and time to cure. Every seam gets double-stitched. Every piece of metal gets heated right and hammered true. It takes longer, costs more, and means working late some nights — but when you pick up one of our pieces twenty years from now, you'll know why we do it this way.

This isn't a hobby for us — it's how we make our living, and we take that seriously. When you buy from Crabtree Bay Studio, you're supporting two people who get up every morning ready to work hard and make something worth your money.
